We both woke up about 6:00. I took a quick shower while Brian got dressed and finished packing. We ate breakfast in the lobby of the hotel. Grabbed our things from the hotel room, checked out and on the road by 7:15. While leaving Alburquerque we saw a gorgeous Hot Air Balloon in the sky, experienced rush hour in Alburquerque, gorgeous mountain views from our windshield, lots and lots of trains beside the highway, some longhorn cattle herds, fields and fields of those large windmills turning in the wind, some working oilwells pumping and dodged many semi-trucks. We passed several semi’s multiple times as the traffic was heavy, and we stopped at rest stops for a quick break. There was a “Super Moon” that evening as we were driving back to Wichita.
