We planned on getting up at 6:30 but we both got up at 6:10. I went back to bed while Brian read his emails. Once I woke up and we both got dressed, we pulled in the slideout and went outside to disconnect all the hoses, etc. We got on the road about 7:45 and headed towards Yuma. We went through a town that looked like it belonged on old Route 66 instead of the highway that we were on. Up the mountains and down the mountains. Will they ever end? We got breakfast at a Speedway and we were good in case we didn’t stop for lunch. We saw many RV’s going east. Many had 4-wheelers in tow. We got to the campground in Yuma and were met by the camp host couple in their golf cart. They showed us where to park and got us situated. It was very hot and there were no clouds or trees to shade the sun. Once we got everything set up, we went inside and turned on the air conditioning. That felt really good. We cooked grilled cheese sandwiches for supper since we were very tired from the trip. I started typing the blog, but it didn’t show up on the internet. Brian said he would look at it tomorrow and try to figure out what was wrong. We watched some more TV (our church service-an episode of AFV- then turned on Hogan’s Heros again). Off to bed and a good nights sleep.

More sights along the way to Yuma.
