Saturday: We had a meeting in White Bear Lake today. We stopped at Holiday to pick up breakfast of doughnuts before the meeting. The meeting was for our antique car club so again, we saw several old friends at the meeting. We met Bob/Jeanine, Paul/Mary, and Mike/Mary Fay at Mi-Saint for supper. Then time to get caught up on laundry.
Sunday: The day started out cold and blustery with snow flurries. Bob/Jeanine went to work early this morning. We drove to Bethlehem church to help usher at the 9:00 service. After greeting friends at church, we stopped at Dunkin Doughnuts for breakfast/lunch. We had another car club meeting in the afternoon and since Brian is the president of the club he ran the meeting. After the meeting, we met with my half-sister Chris Garwick Foley and her husband Mike Foley for supper in Edina. We did a little grocery shopping on the way home and then relaxed with Bob and Jeanine until bedtime.
Monday: Bob went to work at Cub and Jeanine went to work at the U of M, so we had the house to ourselves for a while. We made our breakfast and just chilled out or worked on our laptops. I made some banana pudding for dessert later in the evening. Jeanine came home and cooked hamburgers and peas for supper and had the pudding for dessert. Bob and I did the dishes after supper. He wasn’t feeling great so Brian did the lessons at Triple T that night.
Tuesday: Brian had a haircut in the morning; we washed the truck after the trip home (finally) and had to drive to Savage to pick up a prescription for Brian. We grabbed lunch at the nearby LeeAnn Chin’s and took naps after arriving back at Bob/Jeanine’s. We had reservations at Chanhassen Dinner Theater with Bob/Jeanine and Mike/Sandy Driscoll to see the main stage play White Christmas.

Wednesday: We took the truck to Freeway Ford for an oil change. We had over 5,000 miles on the truck and thought we should give it a first oil change. We had lunch in Bloomington, gassed up the truck, did a little bit of grocery shopping for supper that night, and Debbie got a flu shot. After supper the three of us went to the Spares and Pairs dance in Bloomington.
Thursday: Brian dropped into his old office to say “Hello” to the gang. He arrived as they were having their weekly meeting, so he got to have a snow cone with his fellow billing teammates. I stayed home and did another batch of laundry, worked on my laptop and took a nap. Jeanine made supper and we just chilled out in the evening.
Friday: Brian and I travelled to Park Rapids so that he could call the dance that evening. Along the way we saw a sign that advertised “Farm Eggs”. We wondered if the eggs came in different sizes depending on how big a farm you wanted to plant. The weather seemed to be unseasonally warm, but that was a good thing. The last time we went to Park Rapids, there was a blizzard. We spend the night at the Super 8 hotel in town since the dance was at night. Here’s a picture of the dancers in Park Rapids.

Saturday: The trip back took us on several county roads so we saw parts of Minnesota that we hadn’t seen before. I noticed that there several fields of corn that hadn’t been harvested yet. We stopped in Aitken to see Wanda McGuire and to get fitted for a dress that she is making for me. There was a small Christmas tree that had some partially working lights on it and Brian was put in charge of removing the strings of lights at the shop in downtown Aitken. We saw several old cars just sitting in farm fields along the way home. Too bad we couldn’t save them from rusting away. We had supper back at Bob/Jeanine’s and did a final load of laundry before heading out tomorrow morning.
